Gems Sensors Controls

Gems sensors specializes in a broad range of instrumentation used in level, pressure and flow. Gems has become a leader in providing high quality controls and has done so since 1950. Their history has allowed them to grow and become a world wide provider with manufacturing facilities in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Warrick

Warrick conductivity level control systems rely on the liquid level sensing capability of probes (electrodes) that are housed inside fittings designed to accommodate one or more probes. These single- or multi-point sensors have no moving parts and the stainless steel corrosion-resistant electrodes can be cut to the desired length. Multiple probes per fitting allow control of several functions in less space with less expense for equipment and installation. For OEM’s we also have the capability to custom configure liquid level control sensors and electrode fittings to meet your specific conductivity level control application requirements.

Gems Products

SureSites

A visible level gauge that is a safe alternative to cloudy, breakable sight glasses. High Visibility - Brilliantly colored flags are easy to read, even at great distances. The water level indicator is isolated from the measure media; therefore, Suresite® water level gauges can be used where sight glasses are not even a consideration. Durability - Stainless steel, PVC, CPVC, PVDF, Hastelloy or other exotic housings, whatever the media requirements, provide years of maintenance-free service.

Flow Switches

Gems line of flow switches feature a broad range of configurations for use in liquids or gases. At preset rates, ranging from 50 cc/min to 100 GPM, Gems switches will initiate alarm actuation or automatic shut-down of a system. Switch types include: Piston, Shuttle, Paddle & non-moving part type switches.

Point Level

Custom length float level switches are extremely versatile. Custom length levels can be configured with "up to seven" independent switch actuation levels, depending on the series type. These "multi-station" units offer the most practical way to monitor multiple liquid level points within a single tank. Only a single entry point into the tank is required, and all electrical wiring emanates from a single source. In addition to tracking changing level points of a single liquid within a tank, "multi-station" float level switches are ideal for monitoring liquid interfaces and emulsions in vessels simultaneously containing two or more liquids. Contact Gems with your liquid specifications for further information on this type of application.

Continuous Level

A wide variety of material combinations provide compatibility for most liquid media. Gems XM- & XT-800 Series provide solutions for most small to mid-size tanks in both process and OEM applications; for deeper tanks (to 18 feet) look to the Gems 36000 and 66000 Series.

Pressure Switches

Gems offers a choice of pressure switches, water pressure switches from compact cylindrical models for OEM use, to larger, enclosed units for rugged process applications. These water pressure switches are ideal for the filtering process of coolants in the machine tool industry, use in transmissions of off-highway vehicles and as redundant systems.

Pressure Transducers

From vacuum to 10,000 psig (-1 to 689 bar), we've got you covered with the industry's largest selection and best choice of pressure transducer technologies. Our capacitance type sensors are ideal for high volume use; sputtered thin film types are the most precise pressure sensors you can buy, and our other types satisfy all requirements in between.

Solenoid Valves

Electromechanical solenoid valves provide effective automatic fluid flow control of liquid or gas, as well as air, water, or steam. They are widely specified within medical equipment, food processing, industrial, automotive, water transfer systems, oil and gas, analytical instrumentation, clinical chemistry, HVAC, printing, environmental test chamber, semiconductor manufacturing, and larger pneumatic valve control applications.

Warrick Products

  • Power Outage
  • Time Delays
  • Manual Reset
  • Test Feature
  • & More
The Model 26 Warrick Control is U.L. Approved “Limit Control”

General Purpose

Warrick’s Model 16 controls are a new microprocessor design with solid state reliability. Available as an open circuit board or a plug in module. These general purpose controls were created for single level or differential service. Available with time delays up to 90 seconds. U.L. Approved “Motor Controller” listed.

Intrinsically Safe Relays

Warrick’s Series 17 Intrinsically Safe control relays are FM approved for use in Class I or Class II, Div I, Group A-G hazardous atmospheres. SPST (Single Pull Single Throw) isolated contacts. They are field adjustable sensitivity by use of external resistors.

Warrick’s Series 27 Intrinsically Safe control relays are U.L. – CSA approved for class I, Groups A,B,C,D ; Class II Groups E,F,G and class III hazardous locations. SPDT (Single Pull Double Throw) output contacts.

Warrick’s Series 67 Intrinsically Safe control relays are a multi-function control as well as a duplex pump system. These controls are also U.L approved “Intrinsically Safe”

Fittings

Available in single- and multi-probe models with a variety of fittings. The versatility of the Warrick® design makes these sensors ideal for a diverse range of applications. For use in Boilers, Food Processing, Caustic and Acids, and Sewage and Wastewater.

Tilt Float Switches

Designed for level control and alarm applications in difficult liquids such as sewage and waste water. Series M mechanical tilt floats are ideal for applications where the presence of mercury is a concern. Series M Switches have an impact resistant ABS shell and jacketed cable.

Alarm Panels

We offer custom level control and alarm panels in addition to standard Warrick level panels. Warrick standard panels include models RA and TA alarm panels. The model RA panels interface directly with conductance probes, float switches, or other contact sensors. The model TA alarm panels are intrinsically safe monitoring panels that are available as single or two channel models.

For custom panel work please contact us with your application details including: Number of levels or alarm points, Fill/Drain/Pump operation, etc.
